VQ Probe 2.1 is available!

Today we’re launching the newest release of VQ Probe. VQ Probe is a visual instrument for objective and subjective video quality comparison. Try VQ Probe 2.1 now!

New ROI features

VQ Probe is now capable of using more than 1 region of interest (ROI) at a time. Users can also set weights for ROIs in the newest ROI tab of Project View.

Updated Command Line Interface (CLI)

We have expanded the CLI version of our Probe to make it easier for you to accomplish your tasks. Users can set up a project from scratch using a CSV config file, add or remove source files, create RD curves. We’ve also added BD Rate calculation and export to the CLI version!

Containers support

Until this moment, VQ Probe supported only elementary streams. From now on, the application is supporting the most popular multimedia containers: mp4, ts, mkv, webm.

VVC VTM 12.0

VQ Probe is now updated to the new version of VVC VTM, as well as the new versions of AV1 (0.9.0) and VMAF (2.1.1).

Fade detection

We’ve also added fade detection to our Scene Change Detector.

Export to CSV

You can now export your metrics not only to JSON, but to CSV too. Open the Metrics Log, click Export and choose your format!
