Resolution

Resolution is a broad term and may have different meanings when used in different technology areas. It mostly refers to display resolution (number of pixels the display can produce horizontally and vertically). It also applies to all digital images.
Some often used video resolutions (W x H):

• high definition (HD) - 1280 x 720;
• full high definition (FullHD) - 1920 x 1080;
• 4K - 3840 x 2160.
