VQ Analyzer 7.3 release

Today we’re excited to launch the newest version of VQ Analyzer : our designed and tested video stream analysis tool can inspect each step of your decoding process graphically and numerically.

 

The following new features have been added to VQ Analyzer 7.3:

  1. AV1. Support for AVIF format files in GUI and console modes. AVIF format files can now be opened and decoded.
     
  2. HEVC. Support for HEIF format files in GUI and console modes. Now HEIF format files can be opened and decoded.
     
  3. For VVC, Versatile Video Coding (MPEG-I Part 3), a video compression standard, the following functions have been added: 
  • Layer selection for multilayer streams.
  • New Change OLS dialog window. It allows changing the current target OLS. Allows you to select an OLS that you want to use. Added the possibility to select target OLS through the console.

        4. AVS3.For AVS3, the latest generation source coding/decoding standard with independent intellectual property rights in China, the following functions have been added:

  • Pixel's detailed information in Adaptive Filter and CCSAO modes.
  • Popup in Adaptive Filter and CCSAO modes which appears when you click on a pixel that has been changed after applying the filter. Such pixels are colored yellow. The popup contains parameters and formulas to calculate the value of the corresponding pixel.

  • Pixel's detailed information in the Prediction mode for Affine, AWP, DMVR, IBC, and ISC blocks.
    In the prediction mode details for Affine, AWP, DMVR, IBC, and ISC blocks, a popup is added, which appears when you click on each pixel. The popup presents parameters and formulas for calculating the corresponding pixel.
